Dr Elizabeth Boyd

About Me
Dr Boyd has worked in adult mental health in a psychological capacity for over 20 years across community, forensic and hospital (NHS/independent) settings.
She is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist (C. Psychol) (qualifying in 2010) and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society (AFBPsS) and registered with and regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
She has a MSc in Applied Forensic Psychology and is qualified in Systemic Practice with the Association of Family Therapy as a Systemic Practitioner. She has undertaken further training and qualification with Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Her areas of specialism and interest are Adult Mental Health, Adults with Learning Disabilities and Forensic Mental Health and Behaviour.
Her independent practice commenced in 2014 offering therapeutic and medico-legal services. Dr Elizabeth Boyd Psychological Services Ltd commenced in 2016.
Excellence and Professionalism is assured through adherence to Professional Practice and Clinical Guidelines and Codes of Conduct as laid out by the BPS and HCPC. Regular clinical supervision and continuing professional development is undertaken.
